The backlog, the upcoming single lane and the increased block clearance are leading to capacity bottlenecks," reveals Johannes Dettendorfer Jr. from the Johann Dettendorfer Spedition Ferntrans GmbH & Co. KG. "We try to reroute our consignments and only attempt to transport them over the Brenner Pass after block processing days. This is partially successful, but has an impact on our customers' adherence to delivery dates." And: "We are working on an innovative alternative concept with electric lorries over the Brenner Pass, as these are also allowed to drive over the Brenner at night due to the reduction in CO2 emissions," he says. For all Paul M. Müller customers and partners, this means: plan ahead.
