Production in southern Italy is set to begin as early as next week, from 13 July. In northern Italy, it will be a week later. So far, according to our local experts, the plants are developing well and are defying the heat. Water is currently sufficiently available, although some tomato growers are already looking with concern at a potential shortage. It is not yet foreseeable whether there will be losses in later varieties due to the heat.
We wish all involved a good and successful start to the season!
