Ingredients list for 15 portions of granola:
300 g rolled oats
150 g nuts
50 g kernels and seeds
100 ml maple syrup
25 ml oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
0.5 teaspoon salt
1 can of Adria 5 fruit cocktail
Making your own granola is all the rage at the moment - and for good reason. On the one hand, you save the often high price of ready-made mixes, and on the other, you can personalise your granola to suit your own taste. Our basic recipe provides the ideal basis for this: it can be varied and customised as desired. The principle always remains the same - only the ingredients change a little each time.
- Firstly, mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Then add the maple syrup and oil - both are carefully stirred in until the mixture is evenly distributed. Ideally, each flake and nut should be lightly coated with syrup and oil.
- The granola is then spread evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper and baked in a preheated oven at 180 °C circulating air about 20 to 30 minutes baked - the exact time depends on the ingredients. You should turn the granola once in between so that it is evenly golden brown on all sides. Important: It is better to check regularly, as it can quickly become too dark - and that would be a shame for the flavour.
- After baking, leave the granola on the tray to cool so that it becomes firm and crispy. It is best to mix it again, otherwise the heat of the tray can brown the bottom layer further.
- As soon as the granola has cooled completely, it is placed in a airtight and lightproof container - This keeps it nice and crispy and fresh for a long time.
Then cut the Adria 5 fruit cocktail into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle generously with granola.
You can also make a deliciously fresh variation by layering yoghurt, granola and fruit in a jar or bowl, for example.
Enjoy your meal!
