
The focus was on many discussions with international suppliers and partners - particularly with regard to the upcoming tomato harvest and current developments on the commodity markets. Although there are no concrete prices yet, initial estimates have been made regarding the quality of the fruit, the expected harvest volume and demand. There are also clear developments in food trends: High protein remains a major topic, as do modern plant-based concepts and new product ideas centred around pistachios. At the same time, it is clear how strongly Gen Z is now influencing product development. Packaging and storytelling are also becoming increasingly important: today, products should not only impress in terms of quality, but also appeal emotionally and tell a clear story.
